I have an apple ibook g4 mac osx. when I press the command and the c button to power it up, I get a command promt of open firmware that tells me to type in "mac-boot" and press return. I have 3 Hard drives in my PC. They have been running for me for over 3 years. Last night, I hear some weired noise from my hard disk and I feel the operating system became so slow and sluggish. I then installed HDD Health to check the health and temperature.
So I really have no idea what makes my computer slow down. The only thing I can think of is I set the page file on the critical HD. So I changed it back to system disk. After I reboot my pc, it went though CHKDISK and I saw a lot of index error there... after that, I was able to use my pc again, but still so slow.
